A set of masks for spraying the camouflage of the American Lockheed F-22A Raptor in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set for painting a model of the American fighter. The masks define the areas of the camouflage pattern, so the transitions between the shades come out exactly where they should, and with the same edge all over the model.
The Lockheed F-22A Raptor is an American fighter whose airframe shape is subordinated to low observability: sharp edges, canted tail surfaces and internal weapons bays instead of pylons under the wing. Its finish is restrained, in shades of gray, and that is exactly why it is so demanding on a model. The pattern has no strong color contrasts to hide mistakes, and every inaccurate transition shows at once.
First apply the lighter shade, let it dry properly and only then stick the masks down; on fresh paint a mask does not hold and will tear it off when removed. Clear the surface of dust and grease. Press the edges of the mask down with a soft tool, so that paint does not creep under them. Spray the second shade in thin coats perpendicular to the edge of the mask, not at an angle under it. Remove the masks with tweezers at a sharp angle to the surface while the paint has only just dried. Camouflage masks are cut to the shape of a particular model, so compare the shape of the parts with your kit before building.
The model, paints and clear coat are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
