Responsibility details are not available.
Five castings that on a diorama give away at once that the scene is set by the water. The manufacturer states that the package holds five unpainted pieces in resin, and that they match the weight class of a two-ton element. The sharp angular texture of the concrete is taken from the original, so once painted they do not come across as a toy.
It is a concrete block shaped into a four-armed three-dimensional form that resembles a star or four cylinders grown together. It is used in coastal and water engineering as protection against erosion and the effects of waves, that is on breakwaters, piers and sea dikes. Poured in a mass, the elements interlock with one another, cavities are left between the arms and the surf loses its energy in them before it reaches the shore. A poured layer also stands up to the individual pieces shifting.
Randomness matters more here than regularity, so stack the pieces at different angles and leave gaps between them. Concrete comes alive when an uneven dark wash is laid over a light gray base and the lower parts are completed with a greenish deposit of algae and salt efflorescence. Contact with the water line is made by a gloss clear coat applied in a narrow band only.
The castings are supplied with no finish applied; prepare paints of your own.
