A double-sided set of SX-Art self-adhesive paint masks in 1:72 scale for a model of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter supersonic fighter in the J, G and S versions. The masks cover the cockpit glazing from the outside as well as the inside, so the frames get sharp edges on both surfaces and the interior and the exterior can be painted in the corresponding shades.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic fighter of the 1950s, famous for its extremely short straight wings and its high speed. The F-104G version became the main multirole machine of many European air forces, the Japanese F-104J served as an interceptor and the Italian F-104S represented the highest-performance rendering with guided missile armament. The Starfighter served for long decades, in Italy into the early 21st century.
Stick the outer masks onto the glass from the outside and the inner ones from the inside before the cockpit is closed up. Spray the paint in thin coats with an airbrush and pull the mask off once it has set. Double-sided masking ensures distinct frames from both sides and a clean interior.
