The third number of the collection the French maker BlackSnake Model devoted to today's army. It is a single-piece casting in hardened resin whose detail came into being by printing with a fine layer step, so the stitching of the vest and the profile of the sole stand out on the surface.
The armament of the French infantry went through a marked change after 2010. The bullpup FAMAS rifle, the symbol of the previous decades, gave way to the more modern weapon of the HK416 series, and with it the personal protection and the load-carrying systems changed as well. The figures of this collection therefore fit units deployed in Africa and recent home garrisons alike.
The material is hard and brittle when handled roughly. Separate thin parts, such as a barrel or an antenna, with a fine-toothed saw and never break them off. The joints are glued with super glue; resin does not react to a classic solvent. Do the sanding wet, the dust that arises has no business in the lungs. Leave the face until the end and work on it with a brush of a few hairs, because at this reduction the distribution of light and shadow decides more than the drawing of the individual features.
It is sold as a building kit in resin; obtain the coating materials and the super glue separately.
