This is a resin detail set, not a whole model. It contains replacement wheels with the characteristic coarse Firestone Bar Grip tread that the American Ward LaFrance M1 heavy recovery vehicle carried. The castings faithfully capture the tread pattern and the sidewall of the tire and replace the simplified wheels from the base kit. It is the third part of the upgrade range for this vehicle.

Assembly and painting tips

• Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut off the casting blocks.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
• Flatten the tires down and pick them out with pigments for an effect of dust and mud.
• Set the rims apart in color from the rubber of the tread.
