A wooden organizer from the Czech manufacturer Rattlesnake product, built for the Real Colors bottles of the AK Interactive brand. It is supplied flat-packed, for assembly at home, and holds 48 bottles of paint. The flat-packed form has two advantages: transport without the risk of damage, and the chance to glue the whole thing together so that the shelves hold level.
The parts are joined with ordinary PVA wood glue; let the joints dry under a weight so that the shelves do not warp. Anchor the whole thing to the wall only once it is assembled and dry. The wall plugs supplied count on solid masonry: if you have drywall, get yourself hollow-wall anchors, otherwise the fixing will tear out in time. Before gluing, lay the parts out dry and remember their order, because the individual tiers differ from one another by only a few millimeters. Apply the glue sparingly; the excess runs out into the cutouts and the bottle then will not sit down.
Anyone who builds on a single range of shades will appreciate that the whole line hangs together and in order. The empty positions then show by themselves what is missing from the collection, and buying can be planned at a glance. The rack also frees up the benchtop, which is noticeable most of all when building larger models or dioramas. The flat-packed form even allows a small change: anyone who needs a taller gap for dropper bottles simply leaves one tier out.
