A set of self-adhesive masks from Art Scale for the plastic model of the de Havilland Mosquito night fighter in its NF version, in 1:72 scale. It is neither a model nor decals, but precisely cut masks of masking film that make it easier to spray the canopy glazing and the transitions between colors cleanly. The double-sided version allows the glazing to be masked from the outside and the inside, so the frames look realistic from both viewpoints. The cut is worked out for the Special Hobby kit.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engine aircraft of largely wooden construction, famous for its high speed and versatility. The NF (Night Fighter) version was a night fighter with radar in the nose; it patrolled over Britain and escorted bomber streams, hunting enemy machines in the dark.
Degrease the surfaces of the model and dust them off before applying. Peel the masks away carefully with sharp tweezers and press them firmly against the frames so that paint cannot creep underneath. Spray in thin coats and let them dry properly; take the mask off while the finish is freshly dry rather than fully cured. Follow the numbering of the parts supplied.
This is a masking set, not a model. The aircraft model, the paints and the decals are not included in the package.
