A set of ten thin conical nozzles with a diameter of 2.5 mm from manufacturer Tamiya. What this is: add-on (and also consumable, replaceable) nozzles that fit onto the tip of a cyanoacrylate (CA) super glue bottle. What this is not: it is not glue. You need to already have cyanoacrylate glue or buy it separately — it is not included in the package.

What they are for

Cyanoacrylate glue flows from the original bottle tip in too large a drop — many times more than a small joint needs. The excess spreads around the part and leaves a glossy or white mark that cannot be removed. A micro-nozzle releases glue in a precisely dosed minimum, so it does not spread onto the surrounding surface. This is essential for photo-etched parts, small components, clear parts, and already-painted components, where spread glue would mean having to repaint the whole area.

Use

• Fit the nozzle onto the tip of a cyanoacrylate glue bottle and apply glue in tiny doses.
• Gluing photo-etched parts, small accessories, and joints where the original bottle tip is too coarse.
• Dosing glue onto an already-painted surface where nothing may spill over.
• When a nozzle clogs with dried glue, the manufacturer recommends cutting the tip off with a hobby knife and continuing to use it.
• The nozzles are a consumable — that is why they are sold in packs of ten.

Watch out with clear parts

Cyanoacrylate glue generally fogs clear plastic: as it cures, its vapors deposit a white film on the transparent surface, permanently clouding a canopy. A micro-nozzle limits the amount of glue, but it does not remove the vapors themselves. For canopies and glazing, either avoid cyanoacrylate glue entirely (glue designed for clear parts is safer) or use a type explicitly labeled as non-fogging.

Who it is for

For modelers who work with photo-etched parts, resin accessories, and small components and need to dose cyanoacrylate glue drop by drop, not in puddles. According to the manufacturer, the nozzles are designed for its own line of Tamiya cyanoacrylate glues; for bottles from other brands, check whether the 2.5 mm tip diameter matches.

Cyanoacrylate glue is not included in the package. Cyanoacrylate bonds skin and fingers instantly — work carefully, in a ventilated room, and out of reach of children. Follow the instructions on the packaging of the glue you use.
