A decal sheet in 1:72 scale with markings for the German Henschel Hs 126 reconnaissance aircraft, version A, in Spanish service. An accessory to a kit; the model is not part of it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Henschel Hs 126 was a German two-seat reconnaissance and observation aircraft with its wing carried above the fuselage on struts and with fixed landing gear. The crew was a pilot and an observer, whose station in the rear cockpit was open. Power came from a radial piston engine. Aircraft of this series served mainly for tactical reconnaissance over the battlefield and for directing artillery fire. The A version reached Spain as well, where German units deployed there used it in the closing stage of the civil war.
The sheet brings markings for the Hs 126 version A in Spanish service in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory to a kit of the same scale and contains neither a finished model nor parts for one. Which aircraft are worked out on the sheet and where the individual elements go on the model is shown in the instructions included.
Coat the surface under the decal with gloss varnish first, so that silvery microbubbles do not form under the film. Cut the element out right at the edge of the printing, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until the backing releases. Then slide it onto the moistened spot, line it up and draw the surplus water off with soft paper. On a broken-up surface a decal softener helps. Once dry, secure the whole with varnish according to the look you want. The exact procedure is given in the instructions in the package.
The sheet will be appreciated by modelers who want to build the aircraft in markings other than those the kit box offers. What is for sale is the decal sheet; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
