A pair of sports bucket seats in the style of the classic semi-rigid racing seat for car models in 1:24 scale from Yamamoto Model Parts. It is neither a kit nor a finished model; these are replacement parts for an interior with which you replace the production seats from the box. The material of the parts and their dimensions are not given by the manufacturer in the name; the count according to the name is two pieces.
On a car model the interior is the area a customer or a visitor to a display case sees immediately after the body. The production seats from an ordinary kit tend to be soft and flat in shape, so even a carefully painted cockpit looks empty. A strongly shaped sports bucket, by contrast, says at once what kind of car it is: it changes the character of the build from a family car into a car with ambitions, and that without a single change to the body.
First seat them dry in the interior tub and check that they fit between the tunnel and the side of the body and that they do not foul the roof once it is closed. The original seat mounts often have to be trimmed so that the seating height matches. Glue them spot by spot with super glue. The painting can be managed with matte black, dry brushing across the edges and a light wash into the pressings, and upholstery can be suggested with a fine texture in a darker shade. A bucket suits belts, which are a separate item.
