The endurance classic at Spa in Belgium belonged to the MC12 cars in the second half of the last decade. The 2008 running was won by the crew of the German Vitaphone team, but this number fifteen car of the private JMB Racing stable also finished among the best, with Ben Aucott, Alain Ferté and Stéphane Daoudi taking turns at its wheel. In its category it finished fourth.
Against the civilian version the Competizione has sharper aerodynamics, a differently treated nose, a large rear wing and a roll cage structure inside. The twelve-cylinder stayed, but the rules restricted its air intakes, so the output is in the end lower than on the car for the road. It was precisely this type that collected the marque a series of titles in the European championship of endurance specials.
The race number, the partners' logos and the small lettering are printed directly onto the paint and stay legible in 1:64. The casting is metal, the wheels are shod in rubber, the glazing is of clear plastic. The car stands on a base under a transparent cover and is ready to be stood straight onto a shelf. The Ardennes circuit measures over seven kilometers and a large part of the race is run in the dark, which makes the competition one of the hardest tests in the touring categories.
