A rendition of the hand-held handle completed with an extension. It widens the reach to pieces that would clamp onto a bare holder only with difficulty, and still stays light in the palm.
Responsibility details are not available.
The basic handle serves for small parts, but a model is also made up of pieces that have an awkward shape or simply a larger size. The added extension fills exactly that gap: it gives the holder a longer reach and one more point for the clamped piece to rest against.
Typically with fuselages, hoods and larger shells, where a short holder does not let the piece be turned without a finger getting into fresh paint. A longer arm also keeps the hand farther from the spray, so less overspray reaches the palm and the work is cleaner even after the glove comes off.
Among its stands and clips this brand makes three hand-held renditions, and this is the most extensive of them. The difference against the basic piece matches the fact that it is an extended variant, not a different tool.
A longer arm means greater leverage, so do not clamp a piece with the force you would use on a short holder. When it is drying, stand the assembly so that the center of gravity lies over the supporting surface, otherwise it will overbalance within a few minutes. Details of the dimensions and of what exactly the extension holds are in the manufacturer's documentation.
The first two or three pieces will feel a little unfamiliar, because the hand is used to working closer to the surface and the eye has to reset its judgment of distance. After a while that turns around, and few people go back to a short holder for large parts.
