A set of historical figures in 1:72 scale devoted to a Persian war chariot and cavalry of the 4th century BC. It suits dioramas as well as the table for wargames.
The Persian empire of this period built its strength on cavalry. The horsemen were the mobile part of a formation, working around the flanks and deciding the moments when the foot ranks stood facing one another. According to ancient accounts the war chariots carried scythes on the wheel hubs, and their task was to break up a closed rank before the infantry clashed. It is in this century that the campaign which ended the empire falls, so these are scenes from its last battles.
The exact number of figures, the extent of the team and the material are given by the manufacturer in the instructions and on the packaging.
First free the small parts of excess material and marks from production, then wash and degrease the surface. Paint the horses and the riders separately and join them only at the end, otherwise you will not reach the lower surfaces. A darker base works well, followed by a dry brush on the edges and finally a light dark wash into the folds, which gives a figure depth. Assemble the chariot on a flat surface so that all the wheels sit down.
For collectors of historical figures, builders of dioramas from antiquity and wargame players.
Paints, glue and a base are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
