An injection-molded plastic kit of the American amphibious assault vehicle in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer AFV Club. The model captures the version with the additional EAAK armor and offers a well worked out interior of both the driver's and the troop compartment. According to the manufacturer the package is completed by photo-etched parts, rubber tracks and resin conversion parts, decals for the USMC and for the Republic of China Marine Corps, and opening hatches. Take the exact contents from the instructions in the box.
The AAV-7 (formerly LVTP-7) is a tracked amphibious assault vehicle of the United States Marine Corps. It can swim straight out of the deck of a landing ship, get through a swell and put a landing party ashore. The version with the additional EAAK armor raises protection against projectiles and mines. The vehicle has served with the American and a number of allied marine corps for decades.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the interior before closing the hull. Bond the photo-etched and resin parts with super glue, and first wash the resin free of mold release agent. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Amphibious vehicles look rewarding with traces of service: use washes into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
