An injection-molded plastic kit of a period cargo trailer with a three-ton capacity in 1:24 scale by the French manufacturer Heller. It is a trailer on its own, which will go with a tractor unit or a truck in the same scale and widen dioramas and scenes with period vehicles. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The standardized open trailer with a three-ton capacity spread from about 1940 onwards to unify the previously varied range of trailers in this weight class. Its design with a steering front axle on a turntable suited the carriage of building materials and farm loads, and the trailer was commonly hitched behind tractors and trucks alike. In many European countries it stayed in service after the war too.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin plastic cement; line the load bed and the frame up well. Apply a primer and matte shades and imitate the wooden floor of the load area with glazes. Finally add washes and pigments for a coat of mud and dust so that the trailer fits both the tractor unit and the diorama base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
