Resin replacement wheels in 1:48 scale by the Czech maker Firma49 for the German VW Kübelwagen light cross-country car. This is the second variant (set.2), with balloon tires in an underinflated state and a faithful flat spot where they touch the ground. It is NOT a vehicle model: it is a detail accessory replacing the production wheels from a kit.
The VW Type 82 Kübelwagen was a German light general-purpose car of the Second World War. For sand and soft ground, wider balloon tires were used, and they were sometimes run slightly underinflated for better grip.
Wash the mold release agent off the wheels, separate the casting blocks and fit them to the axles; bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Set them at a right angle to the base so that the underinflated contact patch shows. Paint the tires in shades of dark rubber and bring them up with dust pigments.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. The vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
