Windscreen Jeep Willys, covered (1:48) is a resin accessory of a covered windshield for the American Willys light utility vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail accessory in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Firma49. It represents the windshield of the American Willys light utility vehicle folded down and covered with a canvas cover. It is NOT a model of the vehicle; it is a replacement part with which you replace the windshield from the base kit and give the vehicle a convincing field appearance.
The Willys MB, known as the Jeep, was an American light utility vehicle used in great numbers during the Second World War. Crews often folded the windshield down onto the hood and pulled a protective canvas cover over it to protect the glass and cut down reflections, and it is that state the accessory captures.
Wash the part free of mold release agent, separate the casting block and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the cover in the shade of the vehicle and bring out the folds of the fabric by lightening the edges and adding a fine wash. Given the smaller scale, work carefully with tweezers.
It comes as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. The vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
