Layered cockpit decals for the final version of the carrier fighter with screen displays, 1:72 scale. On this version the interior differs most of all from the original form, so a separate set makes the most sense here. For the Hobby Boss kit.

The last production version combined a stronger powerplant with a new radar set and above all with a reworked crew station. Analog dials gave way to screen displays, new ejection seats were added and a twin pod with optics appeared under the forward fuselage. That is precisely why the Super epithet made its way into everyday talk as well. The aircraft disappeared from the decks of aircraft carriers in the middle of the first decade of this century and was replaced by machines of a different design.
The wing could be swept back, and that is something worth thinking through before the build. With the wing spread, the finished model is around twenty-seven centimeters wide at this reduction, and with it swept only sixteen. Ten centimeters of difference settle whether it fits the shelf you have for it. The position of the wing also changes the overall impression: spread it looks ponderous and gives a sense of landing, while swept it looks sharp.
In reality a screen had a diagonal of around fifteen centimeters. Two millimeters of it are left on the model, into which a bezel, a dark area and a hint of the data shown all have to fit. A printed layer manages that in one step; painting by hand never will. The maker also makes the same set for two larger scales, where the artwork is even more legible but where the model takes up considerably more room.
The model of the aircraft is not part of the delivery.
