A set of color interior 3D decals on decal paper for a model of the Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for detailing the two-seat cockpit. The relief decals give the cockpit a three-dimensional, color-accurate look even in the smaller scale.
The 3D decals reproduce the instruments, displays, side consoles and seat belts of both the front and the rear cockpit. In 1:72 scale they are especially useful, because hand-painting details this small is demanding. The result comes close to a photo-etched set, but the application is faster.
Apply them as wet decals: dip them briefly, transfer them onto a smooth degreased surface, ideally coated with gloss varnish, and settle them with a soft cotton bud. Check the manufacturer's instructions on whether a decal softener may be used on the printed parts. Because of the small scale, work with tweezers, patiently and in good light.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The target kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
