A pair of figures in 1:35 scale on a Second World War subject: a Soviet soldier and a fallen German soldier. The figures are supplied to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set places two figures from the fighting on the Eastern Front side by side: a Soviet soldier and a fallen German soldier. The whole scene lives off this contrast, because a standing and a lying figure give it both a direction of view and a sequence in time. The viewer works out for himself what happened a moment ago, and the diorama gains by it a story that even the best built vehicle does not offer on its own.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down; with figures it pays to go carefully, because the folds of the cloth and the fingers are easily damaged. Fill and sand the gaps at the joints, otherwise you will see them under the paint. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures and use a primer. Paint from the large areas to the small details: the uniform first, then the equipment and finally the face and the hands. A darker shade wiped into the folds and a lighter one drawn out on the edges give a figure the depth that the base tone alone does not have. The particular assembly procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For builders of Eastern Front dioramas and for modelers who want to add a human scale to their vehicle. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
