A set of small plastic models of the American A-7E Corsair II carrier attack aircraft in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The package holds several aircraft on shared sprues, meant to fill out the deck of a model of a modern aircraft carrier or a naval diorama in the same scale. The models are miniature and simple to build, with a decal sheet carrying US Navy markings.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II was a subsonic carrier attack aircraft derived in shape from the F-8 Crusader fighter. The A-7E version was among the most capable; it brought a precise navigation and targeting system, thanks to which the aircraft could drop bombs with remarkable accuracy. The Corsair II was a key light strike machine of the American carrier squadrons from the end of the 1960s and proved itself in a number of conflicts.
Clean the small parts carefully of casting remains and glue with a light touch. Because of the size, a basic coat from an airbrush, fine accenting of the panels and discreet decals are enough. Keep the color scheme of all the pieces the same, so that the deck looks uniform.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
