A plastic kit model of the British destroyer of the E class in 1:700 scale from Tamiya, from the Waterline series. The model is done as a waterline version with the hull above the waterline and faithfully captures the silhouette of an interwar British destroyer.
The destroyers of the E class were fast escort ships of the Royal Navy built in the first half of the 1930s. With gun and torpedo armament they served to escort task groups and convoys; they entered the Second World War as proven units used in the Atlantic and in the Mediterranean.
Set the waterline hull on a flat surface for an accurate waterline. Glue the small superstructure parts and the masts with thin plastic cement. For British ships, camouflage in Admiralty shades is the answer; bring the panel and deck details to life with a fine wash, and the railings can be completed with a photo-etched aftermarket set.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
