This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard serves to sharpen up a plastic model of the British battleship HMS King George V in 1:700 scale. It is not a model or a kit, but an accessory that replaces heavy plastic parts with fine metal elements: railings, ladders, platforms, radar elements and other small details of the superstructure and the decks.
HMS King George V was the lead ship of the battleship class of the same name in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. She stood out for a main armament of 14 inch caliber and is remembered among other things for the actions against the German battleship Bismarck.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends with a bending tool or with tweezers. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for bonding, or solder the parts. Degrease the metal and apply a primer before painting.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
