Artwox Model 1:700 a masking template for the deck of the battleship Nagato is a self-adhesive pre-cut mask for spraying the deck areas. It contains neither wood veneer nor a model; it is an aid for painting the Fujimi 431314 kit.

A sheet of self-adhesive masking film with shapes pre-cut exactly to the deck areas of one particular kit. It is not a wooden deck, but an aid thanks to which you spray the boundary between the color of the wood and the naval gray with no laying of tape by hand. The particular late version of the ship the template is cut for is named with the product, so check before buying that this is the one you are building.
First spray the whole deck in the base shade of wood and let it harden rather a day longer than is necessary. A mask will imprint itself into soft paint and pull it off when removed. Then lay the template on dry, check the fit and only then press it down. Go over the edges carefully with a toothpick or a blunt stick so that no air channel is left anywhere. Spray perpendicular, in several very thin coats and rather from a greater distance: paint applied all at once and heavily will reliably flow under the edge.
Take the mask off as soon as the paint has set, not after several days. Pull it at an angle backwards while pressing the surrounding area with a finger so that the edge does not peel. If the edge is slightly uneven all the same, a thin stroke of a brush with the shade of the deck will level it. Adhesive residue is removed by a cotton swab dipped in alcohol, but carefully and only once the paint has cured perfectly.
This is neither a kit nor a wooden deck. Neither paints nor the base model are included in the package.
