An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Japanese guided-missile destroyer Atago, fitted with the Aegis combat system, 1:700 scale, waterline version. Aoshima is a Japanese manufacturer of ship models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this contemporary vessel of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
The Atago is a guided-missile destroyer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force with an integrated Aegis system for air and missile defense. She carries phased-array radars, a vertical launch system for guided missiles, gun armament and a helicopter deck. She serves to protect a group of ships and to defend airspace.
Glue the modern superstructures with their radars and the fine antennas with liquid cement for plastic and clean them up with a light touch. We recommend a primer and an airbrush for smooth gray shades; a fine wash will bring out the panels and the decks. The railings and the small details can be added with photo-etched parts, and the model can be set on a stand or in a scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
