Injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian Oscar II class nuclear submarine in 1:700 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a full hull, parts in gray plastic, and a small stand with a nameplate is in the box. The set offers optional configurations for some items, so the model can be built in two variants.
The Oscar II is a Russian nuclear submarine carrying guided missiles and one of the largest and most capable vessels of its kind. She is marked out by a massive, broad hull and a large submerged displacement. Units of this class were introduced at the end of the Cold War.
Before building, decide on the optional configuration of the sensors on the sail and of the forward diving planes. Glue the massive hull carefully and sand the seam. For painting, use a flat black or dark gray, a primer base and a matte clear coat; light highlighting of the hatches will give the model depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
