An injection-molded plastic kit of the American multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp in 1:700 scale from the manufacturer Hobby Boss. The model can be built with a full hull on a stand or in the version at the level of the water. The package holds photo-etched parts (railings, nets, a nameplate), decals and a base, and it offers a rich set of deck equipment and aircraft.
USS Wasp is the lead ship of the class of the same name of multipurpose amphibious assault ships. She serves to land the Marines by means of helicopters, tiltrotors, hovercraft and amphibious vehicles, and she also carries aircraft with a short takeoff and vertical landing. She thus combines the function of a small aircraft carrier and of an assault ship.
Before gluing the hull together, choose a full hull or a waterline. Paint the broad flight deck with an airbrush in the deck shade, then add the fine photo-etched railings and the safety nets. Paint the small pieces of deck equipment and the aircraft separately and glue them onto the deck only at the end. We recommend a primer, a matte varnish and fine accenting of the panels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
