An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Japanese destroyer Akizuki, 1:700 scale, from the proven Waterline range (a model cut at the waterline). Aoshima is a Japanese manufacturer of ship models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this contemporary vessel of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
The Akizuki is the lead ship of the destroyer class of the same name in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, aimed above all at anti-aircraft and escort defense of a group. She carries phased-array radars, a vertical launch system, gun and anti-aircraft armament and a helicopter deck with a hangar.
Glue the fine antennas, radars and armament with liquid cement for plastic and clean them up carefully. We recommend a primer and an airbrush for smooth gray shades; a fine wash will bring out the panels and the decks. The railings and the small details can be added with photo-etched parts; set the model on a stand or in a scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
