1:72 1:72 Avia BH-11 Military

What the kit offers

A plastic kit of the Avia B-11 aircraft in 1:72 scale in the military form. Avia was a Czechoslovak aircraft factory and its machines were built under that name for decades, so the model fits into a collection of home aircraft. How many parts the package contains, what color schemes it offers and whether decals are included is stated in the manufacturer's instructions. The 1:72 scale is among the most widespread for aircraft, so a finished model will not ask for any special room in a display case and will easily stand beside other machines of the same period.

Building tips

Try the parts dry first and only then glue; in this scale a thin coat of paint is enough to stop a joint closing up. Use liquid cement applied with a small brush into the seam, not a drop on the surface, otherwise the material is squeezed out over the edge and the surface has to be sanded again. Level the mating surfaces before joining and remove the flash with a sharp blade. Prepare and paint the small parts before you separate them, otherwise they get lost from the tweezers.

Painting and decals

Wash and degrease the model before painting. Thin the paint and spray in several thin coats, because one thick coat floods the engraving and the fine shapes. Mask the glazing, if it is in the package, before spraying and glue it with a glue that does not cloud the plastic. If the kit contains decals, apply them onto a glossy base and even the degree of gloss out with a final over-coat.

Who it is for

For modelers with experience of building aircraft in a small scale and for collectors of Czechoslovak aircraft. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
