A kit of the Soviet 9P148 anti-tank guided missile carrier in 1:72 scale. The real subject is an amphibious wheeled vehicle derived from the BRDM-2 reconnaissance vehicle with a retractable launcher assembly.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 9P148 is a self-propelled carrier of anti-tank guided missiles built on an amphibious wheeled chassis derived from the BRDM-2 reconnaissance vehicle. Above the hull it carries a launcher assembly with several ready missiles of the Konkurs series; the assembly can be retracted inside, so the vehicle looks unremarkable on the move and reveals itself only in a firing position. The chassis inherited two features from the BRDM-2 that set it apart on the battlefield: drop-down belly wheels under the hull for crossing ditches and the ability to swim under its own power. The vehicle could therefore accompany advancing units and destroy armor from a distance that ordinary anti-tank weapons could not reach.
The model fits in the palm of your hand and takes up little room in a display case. The finest parts of the build are the missiles themselves, their mounting and the small equipment on the hull, so have a sharp blade, tweezers and good light ready.
Cut the excess material and the marks left by production off a little way from the part, sand the rest away and dry-fit the assembly. Leave the launcher assembly separate until after spraying, otherwise it is hard to reach later. Bring the green finish to life by shading the large areas, darker corners and fine dust at the wheels and on the underside of the hull; in this scale it is precisely the dust that shows this is a vehicle in the field rather than a display exhibit.
Paints, glue and putty are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
