A photo-etched set of the brand Eduard for a model of the A-4E Skyhawk in 1:72 scale. It replaces plastic parts with items that can be thinner by an order of magnitude.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-4E Skyhawk is an American single-seat carrier-borne attack aircraft, one of the smallest machines of its purpose. The E version is among the older forms of the line and it differs from the earliest machines in its equipment as well as in the number of pylons under the wing and the fuselage. The small dimensions of the real subject mean that a model in 1:72 scale is really tiny and coarser plastic parts stand out on it.
Photo-etched parts meant for building a model of the A-4E in 1:72 scale. Etching makes it possible to produce items of a thickness that cannot be reached in injection-molded plastic, which is why sets of this kind replace above all the surfaces that are to look thin on the finished model. The extent of the parts and their placing are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Photo-etched sets tend to be prepared for a particular kit, so check before buying which one this is cut for.
Cut the parts off the carrier sheet with a sharp blade on a hard surface and do not break them out, because a bent part is hard to straighten. Sand the remains left after cutting, so that the part sits. Make the bends over a sharp edge or in a bending tool, always along the marked groove. Photo-etched parts are not made of polystyrene, so they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting, wash them, degrease them and spray them with a primer, because on bare metal the finish does not hold and rubs off while handling.
Photo-etched parts are supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
