A plastic kit of the German two-seat Ago C.IV biplane of the First World War in 1:72 scale, in the version with late camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ago C.IV was a German two-seat biplane of the First World War period, classed in the C category, that is among armed reconnaissance and observation machines with a crew of a pilot and an observer. Aircraft of this period were built on a wooden frame covered with fabric, with open cockpits and bracing between the flying surfaces. The epithet in the name refers to the late camouflage form, that is to a finish from the end of the war, when camouflaging machines over the front was no longer the exception but the rule.
This is a plastic kit in 1:72 scale to be assembled and finished. A biplane in this scale takes up little room in a display case and suits a collection of First World War machines, where it stands out beside the more common types. The number of parts and the range of marking options are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Free the parts of surplus material and manufacturing marks, sand the mating faces and dry-fit the assembly before gluing. On a biplane the seating of the upper flying surface is what decides the result, so support it and let it cure thoroughly before moving the model. Finish and paint the cockpits and their equipment before closing up the fuselage. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. The bracing between the surfaces is added after painting, from fine thread or stretched wire.
The kit is aimed at modelers who like First World War subjects and are not afraid of working on a biplane. For a complete beginner the build is more demanding because of seating the upper surface. Paints, thinner, glue and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
