Finished AH-1F model

A collector's model of the American AH-1F attack helicopter in 1:72 scale is supplied finished. Nothing is glued or painted, so no work stands between the order and the display. The 1:72 scale is the most widespread one for aviation subjects, so the model can be placed next to kits and next to other finished machines and the sizes will match.

The real subject

The AH-1F is a single-engine attack helicopter of the US Army with a slim fuselage in which the crew sits in tandem. The gunner's station is in front, with the pilot behind and higher up, so that both have a clear view forward. The helicopter stands on skids, carries a two-blade main rotor and has pylons for rocket pods and anti-armor weapons on the stub wings at the sides of the fuselage. In the nose it has a movable cannon turret. The design grew out of the need for a machine that could escort transport helicopters and keep fire on the landing area.

Display and care

• Lift the model by the fuselage; the rotor blades and the stub wings are not meant for that.
• Remove dust with a soft brush, not with a cloth, which catches on the antennas.
• Place the display case out of direct sunlight, or the paint will fade.
• When carrying it, support the fuselage from below so that the load does not rest on the skids.

What the delivery contains

The model is supplied finished in the manufacturer's packaging. You do not need glue, paints or tools for it, unless stated otherwise.
