Ar 234B Blitz 1:72 — a set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in yellow kabuki paper for clean unmasking of the extensively glazed cockpit and the wheels of the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely cut set of self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the plastic model of the Arado Ar 234B Blitz jet aircraft in 1:72 scale. The masks of fine Japanese kabuki paper hold well, follow curved surfaces and leave no adhesive behind when they are removed. They cover the extensively glazed nose cockpit and the clear parts so that after spraying only sharply defined frames remain. The set usually also contains masks for the wheels, for painting the tire and the rim separately.
The Arado Ar 234B Blitz was the first jet bomber in the world to enter operational service. The German single-seat aircraft was powered by a pair of Junkers Jumo 004 jet engines slung under the wing and had a fully glazed nose with an excellent view. It was used mainly for fast reconnaissance and bombing at the end of the Second World War.
Lift the mask off the sheet with a sharp blade or tweezers, lay it on the part and press it down all round. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Remove the masks while the paint is still fresh. A fully glazed nose is demanding to cover, so work patiently, field by field.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
