A 3D-printed ASV Mk.II radar set in 1:72 scale fits a Bristol Beaufort model with faithful patrol radar antennas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A fine 3D-printed resin set in 1:72 scale capturing the antennas of the ASV Mk.II (Air-to-Surface Vessel) radar as carried by the British Bristol Beaufort torpedo and patrol aircraft. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory with which you add the characteristic rod and side antennas to the fuselage and the wings. The 3D printing gives a thin and accurate result.
The ASV Mk.II radar served British Coastal Command in the search for surface targets, submarines and ships. Its antenna array, made up of a row of dipoles above the fuselage and on the leading edges, was among the typical signs of maritime patrol aircraft, and the Bristol Beaufort was one of them.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and clean them up. Glue the antennas with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) into pre-drilled holes. Because they are thin, handle them carefully; match the paint to the shade of the fuselage and pick out the metal parts lightly.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
