1:72 Avro Vulcan B.2 BASIC kabuki masks

Kabuki masks Avro Vulcan B.2 - BASIC level, 1:72 (New Ware)

A set of precisely cut masking templates of kabuki paper (washi) for spraying the glazing and the wheels of an Avro Vulcan B.2 model in 1:72 scale. The BASIC level covers the cockpit glazing, further clear parts and the wheels. It is not a kit but an aid for quick and clean painting with crisp transitions.

The real subject

The Avro Vulcan B.2 was a British strategic bomber with a striking delta wing, one of the three carriers of the V-force nuclear deterrent. The B.2 version had a reworked wing, more powerful engines and a longer service life; it also made its name with a long-range bombing raid during the Falklands conflict.

Usage tips

• Mask the small, deeply recessed cockpit glazing carefully, field by field.
• Undercoat the frames in the interior shade, then apply the exterior color.
• Kabuki paper follows the curves and leaves no adhesive behind when removed.
• Remove the mask while the paint has only flashed off, for a crisp edge.

Who the set is for

• Builders of the British delta-wing bomber in 1:72 scale.
• Modelers who want quick masking of the glazing and the wheels.
• Beginners and advanced modelers alike, with a basic range of masks.

A mask is an aid for spraying. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
