A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for models of the Japanese B5N1 and B5N2 carrier torpedo aircraft with the code name Kate.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Nakajima B5N was a carrier torpedo and bomber aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy, carried by the Allies under the code name Kate. At the time it came about it was among the best in its category, and machines of this type took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor. The B5N1 pattern is the earlier one and the B5N2 the later; according to the name the sheet covers both versions.
The markings decide which particular machine ends up standing on the shelf. Which drawings, national insignia and numbers the sheet holds, how many machines you will build from it and which kit it is reckoned for are all best confirmed by the product code VM72016 or by the illustration on the packaging before ordering.
The make-up of sheets differs and the procedure follows from it. A wet decal releases from the backing paper after soaking in water and is moved onto the model, where a softener settles it into the engraving. Self-adhesive films, by contrast, are not soaked and soaking damages them irreversibly, so before applying them verify in the instructions which kind it is. What the two have in common is that the base should be smooth, glossy and degreased and that finished markings are coated over with varnish once dry.
The sheet itself is supplied. A model, paints, varnish and a softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
