This product is a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:72 scale for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4/E-7 from Rob Taurus. It is neither a model of an aircraft nor a kit, but a standalone clear part replacing the production canopy.
The Bf 109 E series, the Emil, was among the key German fighters of the beginning of the Second World War and became famous in the fighting over France and Britain. The E-4 and E-7 versions differed in their equipment and in the ability to carry external stores; both had the characteristic squarely framed canopy.
A vacuum-formed canopy has thinner walls and higher clarity than an injection-molded part. It is cut out with a sharp knife along the engraved outline, the edges are sanded down to an exact fit, and for maximum transparency the part can be dipped in a gloss varnish. It is glued with PVA glue for canopies or with cyanoacrylate applied in the smallest possible amount.
This is a standalone accessory (a clear canopy), not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
