An Eduard Big Sin set for the Bf-109F in 1:72 scale, a bundled package of accessories for a model of the German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not an aircraft kit but accessory goods for a model you buy separately. Big Sin is one of the bundle lines from Eduard, an item that brings several separate accessories for one type together in a single package. Check the particular make-up of the bundle and the material of the individual parts against the list on the box. The 1:72 scale places the greatest demands on accuracy of work, because the parts are really tiny.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F, nicknamed Friedrich, is considered the aerodynamically cleanest version of the whole Bf 109 family. Against the earlier E version it received rounded wing tips and a deeper, more smoothly shaped nose, a retractable tail wheel and tail surfaces without external bracing struts. It was powered by an inverted Daimler-Benz DB 601 series V12. The armament moved into the fuselage and into the engine compartment, which improved the flying qualities compared with armament spread through the wings.
In a small scale the order of work is essential: put the accessories for the cockpit and the bays in before the fuselage is closed. Bend the photo-etched parts in a bending tool, glue them with super glue applied on the tip of a wire and use tweezers with fine tips while handling them. Work over a surface with a high edge; in 1:72 a lost part is hard to find.
