1:72 Bf 109F cockpit is a 3D-printed set from Eduard that replaces the cockpit interior of the plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109F fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed cockpit for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F in 1:72 scale. In this scale the interior is usually simplified into a few flat parts; the set replaces it with a tub carrying finely rendered consoles, a seat and an instrument panel. The difference tells above all on a model with the canopy open. It is not a kit of the airplane but an accessory for building one.
The Bf 109F version, nicknamed Friedrich, is the aerodynamically cleanest form of the whole series. Rounded wingtips, the removal of the tailplane struts and a reworked nose gave the aircraft a look that stayed with it until the end of the war. The armament moved into the fuselage and onto the engine axis, so the wing stayed clean. The cockpit remained tight and clear, with side consoles and a framed canopy that hinged to the side.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash them in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Bonding is done with super glue. In 1:72 scale it is essential to try the fit dry: the fuselage halves often have to be thinned slightly from the inside so that they close without force. Spray the interior with primer, then with the base shade, refine the details with a fine brush and bring out the engraving with a light wash. Work under a magnifier and with tweezers, as the parts are tiny.
