1:72 Bf-109G-6 classic canopy are Eduard masking stencils for the Messerschmitt variant with the classic framed canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from Eduard for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 model in 1:72 scale, specifically for the version with the classic framed canopy. That is an important difference, because later machines received the lightened Erla canopy with far fewer frames, and stencils for it would not fit this shape.
The G-6 was the most widespread sub-variant of the whole 109 family. It was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and prominent bulges covering the breeches of the large-caliber machine guns grew over its engine cowling. It served on every front from the Mediterranean to the Eastern Front and remains one of the most frequently built German fighters. Many examples received further modifications directly at the units, so details differ from machine to machine.
At this scale the frames are very slim, so lay the stencils down with a moistened tweezer tip and check at once whether they sit in the engraving. It works well to start with a thin coat of the cockpit shade, which also seals the edge, and only then the top color. Removal goes most easily a few minutes after spraying. Wipe any adhesive residue away with a cotton swab moistened in clean water.
