The Quickboost 1:72 Bf 109G-6 gun barrels is a set of replacement armament barrels for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in a small scale. It is a small accessory for a plastic kit, not an aircraft model.

A detail set from the Quickboost brand, out of the production of the Czech firm Aires, intended for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in 1:72 scale. It replaces the armament barrels, which in kits in this scale are usually molded solid, blunt and often slightly tapered, because injection-molded plastic cannot create so slender a part sharply. The replacement barrels have a truer diameter and a clean outline, so the muzzles of the weapons stop looking like a cast lump. It is a typical accessory that noticeably lifts the impression of a finished model.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 was the most numerously produced version of the type and differed from the older machines above all in the 13 mm large-caliber machine guns over the engine, whose bulky breeches forced the conspicuous blisters on the upper surface of the nose. They were complemented by a 20 mm engine-mounted cannon firing through the hollow propeller shaft. On some machines the armament was extended with underwing gondolas, but that is a different configuration, which has to be handled separately.
Cut the original plastic barrels off and, if needed, carefully drill out the holes left behind with a micro drill, so that the replacement sits exactly on the axis. Glue the new barrels with super glue, ideally only after the airframe is sprayed, otherwise you will break them off while masking. Do not paint the weapons pure black; a very dark gray with a fine metallic cast is better, or dark graphite rubbed into the surface. At the cannon muzzle in the propeller spinner, take care that the part does not project further than is usual on the real machine. Suggest the soot around the muzzle sparingly; in 1:72 scale a hint is enough.
The parts are supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
