A modeling paint from AK Interactive's Real Colors range, a light gray interior shade under the designation RAL 7009, in a bottle of 17 ml.
Responsibility details are not available.
The paint carries the German name Hellgrau, in English Light Grey, that is a light gray, and it is carried under the number RAL 7009. The name marks it as an interior color, so it is aimed above all at inner surfaces. The standard number makes the work easier: it sets the tone unambiguously, so you can look the shade up from a color scheme that works with RAL numbers instead of trade names, and repeat the same tone on another model.
Light gray is rewarding in interiors because it returns light to a cramped space and small fittings stay readable on it. On a model, though, a uniform light surface looks flat. What suggests itself, therefore, is a dry-brush a shade lighter to pull out the edges and the raised parts, and a darker tone into the hollows. Only that difference gives an interior the depth that can be seen even through the glazing of a cockpit.
Mix the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Light shades have little covering power, so over a dark surface count on more coats or on a lighter primer. Lay it on thinly and evenly, so that the paint does not flood the fine relief of small parts, and let it dry between coats. The thinning ratio, the spraying pressure and cleaning the tools follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
One bottle of paint of 17 ml is supplied. Primer, a wash, thinner, varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
