1:72 Bf 109G-6, shell case chute is a small resin set from Quickboost. It deals with the place where spent cartridge cases leave the armament of the aircraft and replaces the simplified plastic part.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a model of an aircraft but a small resin accessory for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the G-6 version in 1:72 scale. The guns of the aircraft lead spent cartridge cases out of the airframe, and at the place where they are ejected a characteristic opening or groove forms on the surface. In kits it tends to be suggested only by a shallow engraving or a blind raised bump, because injection-molded plastic cannot produce a proper recess in a small scale. A resin casting puts this shortcoming right.
Details of this kind have a greater effect on the final impression than their size would suggest. An opening you can really see into gives the model depth and breaks up the impression of a smooth plastic shell. It is at the same time a place around which smoke and oil stains collect on the real aircraft, so it offers a rewarding field for weathering.
Wash the casting in soapy water, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block away with a sharp knife in small steps and work over a light-colored surface so that you do not lose the part. Cut or widen the opening where the casting seats slowly and keep dry-fitting as you go. It is glued with cyanoacrylate applied in a tiny amount. Paint the inside of the recess in a dark shade so that it reads as deep, and apply fine dark streaks from the edge backwards. Do not overdo the weathering; in 1:72 scale very little is enough.
This is an accessory for a build and is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
