Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 in 1:72 scale from the Hobby Boss production. This is an early version of the Emil line. The model belongs to the simplified Easy Assembly line with a low part count and large one-piece sections of the airframe. The package contains decals for two markings; the exact contents may differ according to the release.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was the principal German fighter in the first years of the Second World War. The E-3 version was powered by the liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 and it carried gun armament in the wings as well as in the nose. The Emils made their mark markedly during the campaigns of 1940 and in the Battle of Britain, where they were among the main opponents of the British Hurricane and Spitfire fighters. The E line represented the peak of the development of this generation, before the aerodynamically cleaner F line took over from it.
Glue the large airframe parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints down. It pays to mask the framed cockpit canopy and paint it separately. Apply the typical early German schemes (gray-green shades with a high demarcation on the fuselage) with an airbrush over primer and add a wash of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
