Quickboost 1:72 - resin porcupine exhausts for the Bristol Beaufighter are a replacement part for a plastic kit, not a model of the aircraft in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory in 1:72 scale from Quickboost for a kit of the British twin-engine Beaufighter. It replaces the exhaust systems of the radial engines with the form known as porcupine, in which a bundle of separate exhaust pipes emerges from the engine cowling. It is an accessory to a base kit, not a model of the aircraft.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engine multirole aircraft used in the heavy fighter and attack role. The versions with Bristol Hercules radial engines had several variants of exhaust on the engine cowlings, which differed between production series. It is precisely the arrangement of the exhaust pipes that is among the quickest ways to tell a particular series on a model - and at a small scale it tends to be only suggested on the plastic parts.
These are very fine castings, so work over a surface and cut the casting blocks off with a sharp saw or a cutting disc. Before the build, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, and sand wet and with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit the exhausts at the very end, once the engine cowlings are clear-coated - they break off easily and their metallic, burnt shade is easier to build up separately. Transitions into rusty brown and gray tones are well drawn out by pigments or a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a base kit. Glue, paints and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
