This is a small diorama accessory from the Czech maker Brengun, who specializes in accessories for aircraft models. It is not an airplane model or a kit but a set of the equipment that belonged to everyday operations at an airfield. The chocks were placed under the landing gear wheels so that a parked machine would not roll off, while the access ladder served the ground crew and the aircrew when working at the cockpit and the engine.
The accessory is intended for dioramas and display case scenes with British aircraft in 1:72 scale. It does not make up a model on its own; it completes one. It is exactly such small things that separate a model built straight from the kit from a scene that reads as a frozen moment at a field airfield, and they also tell the viewer the scale of the whole composition clearly. First clean the flash off the parts carefully and check them against the light. Small accessories are bonded with super glue applied with a pin; with metal parts, degrease the surface with alcohol beforehand and spray a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold. Do not place the chocks on a diorama dry but sink them slightly into the groundwork so that they do not look as though they were hovering above the surface. A brush will handle the painting, and bringing the edges out with a dry brush plus a fine wash into the joints gives both wood and metal a used look.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and it is not an airplane model. The model, a base, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
