The set contains pre-cut self-adhesive masking stencils from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the C-130J Hercules transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not a model, nor a part to be glued on. The stencils are stuck onto a built but still unpainted model, sprayed over and taken off once the paint has dried, so that the frames of the glazing and the color transitions come out sharp.
The Hercules has a large cockpit with bulged front glazing and side windows of irregular shapes. Cutting a mask for these areas by hand is slow even in the larger scales, and in 1:72 the knife easily slips on the curved glass as well. Pre-cut stencils solve that: you only peel each part off, lay it down and press the edges in place.
The C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft with a high-mounted wing and a rear cargo ramp. The J version is the modern form with new avionics and six-blade propellers. The aircraft is used to carry cargo and people and serves in many countries.
The set does not contain a kit, paints or glue. Before buying, check that the masks match the kit you are building.
