Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurately cast resin radial engines for the American twin-engine transport aircraft Douglas C-47 Skytrain in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part for the engine nacelles that replaces the simplified plastic engines from the basic kit, not a standalone airplane model.
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain, known to the British and Allied air forces as the Dakota, was an American twin-engine military transport aircraft of the Second World War derived from the DC-3 airliner. It was powered by a pair of fourteen-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp radial engines. It served to carry troops and cargo and to drop paratroopers.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The engine cylinders come out well once painted in metallic shades and dry-brushed; check the depth of seating dry before closing the nacelles.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
