The masks 1:72 C6N Saiun National Insignias w/o white outline from the Dead Design brand are for spraying national insignia without a white border onto a model of the carrier reconnaissance aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from Dead Design for spraying the Japanese national insignia onto a model of the Nakajima C6N Saiun in 1:72 scale, in the rendition without a white border. What is on sale is the masking, not the plastic reconnaissance machine.
The Saiun was a carrier reconnaissance machine built to outrun everything that took off against it. The crew of three sat under long glazing stretching across a large part of the fuselage and the aircraft became famous for a signal according to which no enemy fighter would catch it. It entered service at the end of the war and was committed above all to long-range shadowing of American formations. The Allies assigned it the code name Myrt.
On larger aircraft not all the discs tend to be the same: the insignia on the fuselage is as a rule smaller than the one on the wing and the lower surfaces usually have their own size. Before you reach for the first mask, lay the shapes out side by side and assign them to positions, so that you are not left at the end with a disc that fits nowhere. It helps to sketch a plan view beforehand and enter the dimensions into it. Keep any leftover shapes once you are done, as they come in useful for later repairs.
